Orlando International Airport (MCO for short) is a busy airport. Many people traveling to or from Disney World or Universal Orlando use this airport as it is only about a half hour away.

MCO is consistently listed in the top 10 busiest airports in the United States due to the number of travelers visiting Central Florida. At over11,000 acres, it is also one of the largest airports as well.

MCO announced a multi-year refurbishment. This will include its Gate Link vehicles, tracks, and electrical control equipment. Check out how this will affect your next flight HERE.

New Addition At Orlando International Airport

Recently, Orlando International Airport added Queue Meters. These Queue Meters are placed throughout the terminals as well the existing checkpoint displays.

The Queue Meters offers travelers real-time security wait times.

As you can see in the picture above, the Queue Meter is letting travelers know that their estimated wait time is 14-18 minutes, which is considered "Medium."

With these new Queue Meters displaying real-time wait times, travelers can move through the airport easier. Travelers can plan their airport experience, and know when they need to get to TSA checkpoints for their flights.

The Queue Meter displays the estimated time that it will take for you get through the entire security line. This includes the scanning of your boarding pass or other form of identification through the entire screen process.

This new addition of the Queue Meters is especially helpful during the busy Spring Break travel period.
