EPCOT Park Opening Changes Again Causing Chaos
If you are heading to EPCOT, pack your patience as Disney continues to switch up park opening procedures. See the newest change.
Disney World Park Openings

There are many things to keep in mind when planning a Park day at Walt Disney World. The first is that Disney reserves the right to make operational changes without advanced notice.
This can shift park operating hours, character meet and greet changes, entertainment showtime changes, and even closing down entire sections of the Disney parks.
Earlier today, we shared dates to avoid Magic Kingdom and EPCOT this spring due to reduced Park hours.
EPCOT Rope Drop

Yesterday, we shared that EPCOT began a new Park Opening procedure. It appeared that this was for "Pin Tuesday".
Cast Members held signs that directed Guests to the left for Early Theme Park entry and to the right for Disney Pins. A temporary Pins queue line was created with tape for Guests to join.
Once in this queue, Guests received a wristband which allowed them access to purchase pins at Disney Traders at Park opening. We were curious if this new opening procedure would be just on Tuesdays, but now EPCOT changed Park opening again.
New Opening at EPCOT

This morning is the start of the International Flower and Garden Festival at EPCOT. Large crowds were present at Park opening to find that even more temporary tape queues are now added.
Disney reserves the right to make operational changes without advanced notice.
Today for EPCOT's park opening, Guests joined a queue for either attractions, pins, or Flower and Garden merchandise. According to Cast Members, Guests would be allowed to enter the Park at different stages from these queues.
If this sounds confusing and not very magical, you would be correct. Guests share that these queue lines did not remain in order once Guests entered EPCOT.
It is unclear how long this new park opening will be in place. Hopefully, a more streamlined Park opening will arrive soon.
