DinoLand is about to become extinct at Disney's Animal Kingdom. An entirely new land is on the way. It is set to be themed around Tropical Americas! We can't wait to see Welcome to Pueblo Esperanza!

Disney announced a phased closure for DinoLand, and guests experienced big changes when The Boneyard officially closed on September 1, 2025. The following day, construction walls were erected and completely removed from both the map on the My Disney Experience app and the physical map available in the parks.

While Disney promised that 2025 would be your year to enjoy the DINOSAUR attraction, the pathway is now a winding maze. You can see the new path that Guests must use HERE.

One thing that Walt Disney disliked was distractions that entered the sightline of Disneyland. He wanted Guests to escape from the everyday concerns and be immersed in lands of magic, wonder, and adventure.

However, Walt Disney also never wanted Disneyland to be complete, which means all Disney Parks "Keep moving forward." This is, in fact, the current state of Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Disney is now going vertical with the addition of the Tropical Americas expansion.

Disney Imagineer, Johnny, shares our first photos of the Encanto ride building and allows us to see the first vertical beams being erected in this new space.

While much of the work has been hidden behind construction walls, it is great to finally see how much work has been completed. You can see more details for this new attraction HERE.
