Disney's conservation efforts have brought numerous baby animals from various endangered and threatened species into the world. These births are part of an initiative called the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Species Survival Plan.

If you have ever enjoyed Maharajah Jungle Trek at Disney's Animal Kingdom, you may have been lucky enough to encounter Walt Disney World's own Sumatran tigers.

Last fall, mom, Sohni, and dad, Conradwelcomed an adorable tiger cub, Bakso, to the Animal Kingdom family. Cute baby Bakso bonded with mom, Sohni, backstage for several months. When mom and son first ventured out on the Maharajah Jungle Trek, wait times soared over 90 minutes to see the newest tiger cub.

Bakso is no longer such a small meatball anymore. He is now weighing over 140 pounds. He even has a unique stripe pattern, as no two tigers' patterns are alike.

Bakso's birthday means so much for Disney's commitment to Tiger Conservation. There are fewer than 600 Sumatran tigers in the wild. Disney participates in the Association of Zoos and Aquarium's Species Survival Plan to help support endangered and threatened species in managed care.

Disney's Conservation Fund is working to make a differcence for wildlife throughout the world. Disney Conservation Fund has given more than $4.5 million to 15 organizations that are working to protect tiger conservation, which includes anti-poaching and habitat protection. Bakso's birthday means so much for the Sumatran tiger species.

Happy Birthday, Bakso! We love watching you grow!
