Disney World Changes

As Walt Disney once said, "We keep moving forward," and that is very true at Walt Disney World. At Disney's Animal Kingdom soon, DinoLand USA will become extinct to make way for a new experience with Tropical Americas, offering a brand new Indy attraction, a new carousel, and an Encanto attraction.

Magic Kingdom prepares for a HUGE expansion extending the boundaries of Magic Kingdom for Villains Land and closing the Rivers of America for the brand new Cars experience.

Hollywood Studios Closure

Disney's Hollywood Studios underwent many changes this summer with 2 brand new shows: "Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After" and "The Little Mermaid-A Musical Adventure". Along with this came the closure of the Muppet Courtyard.

This July, Disney announced that Star Wars Launch Bay will close permanently on September 25, 2025. In addition to the Launch Bay closing, the theater that has been host to Disney Jr Play and Dance will also close!

Disney Imagineering will bring this magic to "Magic of Disney Animation" in this space. The building will be similar to the iconic Roy E. Disney Animation Building. This building will even be topped with Mickey's iconic Sorcerer hat.

Animation Courtyard Closure

Disney was quick to update Disney's Hollywood Studios physical park maps and the map on the My Disney Experience app. Today, Guests can no longer view the Animation Courtyard, including Disney Jr. Play & Dance and Star Wars Launch Bay. These were featured yesterday on the My Disney Experience App. They are now covered by greenery on the map.

During this transformation, the new "The Little Mermaid- A Musical Adventure" will still be offered along with the "Walt Disney Presents" experience. There are large construction walls and shrubbery that now extend from the former Animation Courtyard near the entrance to "The Little Mermaid- A Musical Adventure" theatre entrance.

Yesterday, we shared that Darth Vader's meet and greet would relocate. At this time, the Disney Junior characters do not show a new meet and greet location.
