Disney Creates a New Muppet Event

Disney finally realized that Disney fans love the Muppets! You don't want to miss out on this special event.

Muppet Closure

In June, the Muppet Courtyard closed at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Muppet Vision 3D held a special place for many Muppet fans as this was the final major project that Jim Henson directed before he passed in 1990.

Disney promised that it would work to preserve this film and that plans were underway to bring the Muppets to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.

Now Disney has released a brand new Muppet event for the runDisney 12K's of Christmas in honor of the Muppets' 70th Anniversary.

Muppet Medal Ornaments

This runDisney Virtual Event allows you to "sprint like Animal or strut like Miss Piggy, whenever and wherever you want." Each participant can enjoy a total of 4 medals (3 medals for each 4K completed and 1 Challenge medal).

The best part is that these limited-edition shoe medals can also double as Christmas ornaments. Each 4K medal features our favorite Muppet pals, with Kermit and Robin (featured above), Miss Piggy and Foo Foo, and Gonzo and his favorite chicken pal, Camilla

We love that we have our favorite Muppets along with their sidekicks. Gonzo is featured with his favorite chicken pal, Camilla.

Finally, we saved the best for last with the diva herself, Miss Piggy featured with her pet Foo Foo.

Muppet Event Registration

Along with these three 4k medals, participants will receive a final Challenge medal (featured above) with Kermit & Robin, Gonzo & Camilla, Miss Piggy & Foo Foo, along with Animal. Along with these medals you will receive a Brooks running beanie and a holiday CORKCICLE mug with a box of Twinings holiday tea.
