Magic Kingdom Closures

There are BIG changes coming to Magic Kingdom with the new Villains Landand the new Cars-themed Piston Peak National Park. Unfortunately, these new additions result in closures of current attractions.
Disney announced that the last day for Guests to experience Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Liberty Square Riverboat will be July 6th. These attractions will close forever on July 7th!
Typically, Disney fans swarm the parks when an attraction is set to close, and Disney aims to accommodate large crowds. According to the attraction’s marquee hours and the Walt Disney World website, the attraction will offer additional operating hours.
Liberty Square Riverboat Hours

Now through July 6, 2025, the Liberty Square Riverboat will open an hour earlier at 10:00 am instead of 11:00 am. The attraction will continue to close at 8:00 pm (attraction hours subject to change.)
Liberty Square Riverboat will extend operating hours now through July 6, 2025.
For guests hoping to enjoy Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat, it is important to note that weather can often close both attractions to guests. Many areas of Tom Sawyer Island were closed to guests due to an insect infestation this past weekend.
