Confusing Change for Disney’s Extended Evening Hours

If you enjoy planning ahead for your Walt Disney World trip, things are getting pretty complicated. See the newest change to Extended Evening Hours that leaves us pretty confused.

Guests staying at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts can experience the parks at night after everyone else has left. This is one of the many great benefits of staying at these high-tier resorts.

Typically, Epcot hosts Extended Evening Hours on Monday, and Magic Kingdom hosts Extended Evening Hours on Wednesday. This has been the case for the last few years, with a few exceptions.

This summer, this schedule shifted quite a bit, changing Extended Evening Hours that were typically offered at Magic Kingdom to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for several dates.

We do love extra time to enjoy Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but this park offers fewer attractions for Extended Evening Hours compared to Magic Kingdom.

Earlier, we shared that Magic Kingdom will host Extended Evening Hours on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 10:00 pm until midnight (park hours subject to change). We hoped that this trend would continue, but then Extended Evening Hours shifted back to Disney’s Animal Kingdom the following week.

If this was not confusing enough to plan around, Disney recently announced Extended Evening Hours offered for Disney’s Hollywood Studios on a Friday, which is very uncommon.

Now, if we weren’t sure what to think, Magic Kingdom will again offer Extended Evening Hours on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 10:00 pm until 12:00 am (park hours subject to change)

Extended Evening Hours return to Magic Kingdom on September 3, 2025.

We do love Extended Evening Hours offered at the Magic Kingdom, but it is very difficult to plan ahead when the Parks offered seem to change week to week.
