New showtimes are listed for Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ hottest new show. What will this mean for Disney’s Lightning Lane?

After being closed for several years, the Little Mermaid show returned to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Now with a new name, “The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure,” all-new set pieces, effects, and a new design. In addition, the theater has been refreshed!
“Watch as Ariel follows her dreams to be part of the human world. This little mermaid’s adventure is brimming with familiar moments—like encounters with King Triton and Ursula—and stirring scenes.”
Since opening on May 27, 2025, this show has been very popular with wait times remaining around 45 minutes throughout the day.
“Little Mermaid-A Musical Adventure” Showtimes

When Disney first added “The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure” to the My Disney Experience app, hours were listed daily from 9:15 am until 7:15 pm, which indicated continuous running showtimes compared to the listed showtimes for “Villains Unfairly Ever After.”
Starting today, June 10, 2025, we see a new shift with actual showtimes listed as follows: 9:20 am, 10:00 am, 10:40 am, 11:20 am, 12:00 pm, 12:40 pm, 1:20 pm, 2:00 pm, 2:40 pm, 3:20 pm, 4:00 pm, 4:40 pm, 5:20 pm, 6:00 pm, 6:40 pm, and 7:20 pm.
It will be interesting to see how these showtimes will affect current waittimes for this new show.
Lightning Lane

Initially, “The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure” featured the Lightning Lane logo while “Villains Unfairly Ever After does not. When the show first debuted only a standby queue was offered for this attraction.
