This year marks the celebration of 25 years in Disney Parks! While Disney pins have been available for longer than that, pin trading in the parks was officially recognized in 1999.

Pin Trading has since spread to Disney Parks across the globe. It has gone from being a simple activity to a popular hobby with serious collectors!

The rules have changed for pin trading over the years, but the basics are simple. Guests should only swap official, undamaged Disney-branded pins. They can trade 2 per board, and you can not leave a pin that is already on the board. Now you can enjoy trading with Cast Members again.

Now, EPCOT has a new rule for pin trading. If you have been to EPCOT recently, you may have seen people gathered under Spaceship Earth trading pins from extensive collections.

However, Disney has banned pin traders from congregating in this popular location under the EPCOT icon. About a week ago, Cast Members told traders looking to set up that it was no longer allowed in that location.

Now the area is reserved for stroller parking. However, if you want to trade with other park guests, there is good news.

Now, pin traders are allowed to gather under the breezeway between Connections and Creations Shop, near Club Cool. This seems to be a better option in terms of the flow of traffic.

And of course, you can still enjoy trying to find treasures on the pin boards and exchanging with participating Cast Members. Let us know what you find!
