Disney Jr. Play and Dance Closing
One thing that sets Disney Parks apart from other Theme Parks is so many great character meet and greets. We all love classic characters like Mickey and his pals, but many Disney fans love rare meet-and-greets.
Some Disney characters are only available at select Disney Parks. If you have a Disney Jr fan in your household, you may still be saddened that the “Disney Jr. Play and Dance!” show will close this summer.
This will allow for a brand new experience for “Cool Kid Summer.” This may be an amazing experience, but this may be disappointing for Disney Jr. fans with dreams of seeing their favorite Disney Jr. characters on stage.
Hollywood Studios Characters
This summer, Walt Disney World will bring an extra dose of magic to all of the Theme Parks and even select resorts. That is the good news; the bad news is that this will create a couple of closures to prepare for these new “Cool Kid Summer” experiences.
Today, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Animation Courtyard, the outdoor Disney Jr. meet and greet locations are closed. The entire space is surrounded by shrubbery. We assume this is due to preparation for “Cool Kid Summer.”
This affects the meet and greets for many of our favorite Disney Junior characters that can only be met at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
New Disney Jr. Character Locations
Although not in their ideal, themed space, guests may still meet Disney Junior characters. Doc McStuffins greets guests at Echo Lake, near Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. Fancy Nancy can be spotted at Echo Lake, near Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction.
Disney Jr. characters are now greeting guests around Echo Lake.
Vampirina greets guests at Echo Lake near 50’s Prime Time Cafe. We are unsure how long this temporary meet and greet may take place. Disney can always change the location and meeting time for characters. Be sure to follow along with Character Locator and the My Disney Experience app for the most updated changes.
