The weather is getting warmer, and unfortunately, vacationers are not the only ones coming to enjoy the warm Florida sun. Recently, a wild snake slithered among Disney guests without many even noticing. Check out how you can stay safe this summer.
Wildlife at Walt Disney World

It goes without saying that you are going to see wildlife at Disney World. You may see alligators, snakes, and other creatures during your vacation. They are part of the theme parks and attractions, most notably seen at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
However, they are lurking around other places like resorts and the Seven Seas Lagoon. Anytime you are near a body of water, you will most likely see signs alerting you that there is wildlife in the area.
There have been sightings of wild snakes at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and also at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon in the past years.
Snake Spotted at Disney World

One thing that sets Disney apart is the dynamic entertainment. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, thousands of Guests pack into the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater to enjoy Fantasmic! each night.
The other day, an unexpected guest joined the crowds, as shared by Reddit user rentfn. Slithering among discarded popcorn containers and empty cups was a snake. The Reddit user joked that this was just Jafar trying to get away after Mickey banished him.
Other Reddit users and Disney fans were a bit more concerned that this snake could have been slithering throughout this amphitheater during the nighttime performance.
Word of Warning

Not that long ago, I (Donna) noticed a black snake slithering through the landscape near the exit of Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT. We share stories like this not to scare you, but rather, they are good reminders to be aware of your surroundings!
A snake was spotted as guests had exited Fantasmic!
You never know what creepy crawly creature is going to appear, so keep an eye on your travel party and places like bushes, rocks, water, and other places where they can be lurking.
