Annual Passholder Benefits

Annual Passholders receive some great perks at Walt Disney World. They include special merchandise discounts and fun effects as they scan their MagicBand+ when they arrive to the parks. This year, many lucky Annual Passholders were able to preview TRON before it opened up for regular guests.

Other benefits for Passholders include Resort room and Disney merchandise discounts. And, one of the best perks are magnets! These are fun little decorations for refrigerator, vehicle, or any other magnetic surface. And starting today, shopDisney is giving Annual Passholders 30% off merchandise! That’s an even larger discount than the usual 20% off merchandise.

Recently, Disney shared that Passholders could enjoy an exclusive lounge. Check out the details HERE.

Lounge Review

I (Heather) visited the Annual Passholder lounge yesterday in Epcot. I’m not sure if it is always this way or not, but it was crowded. I almost wasn’t able to grab a seat in the actual lounge.

When I checked in, I was given a Figment Sticker and a bag of peanuts. They reportedly ran out of M&M’s on Monday. Hopefully, they will get more as this lounge will be open through the end of the month.

Other than a wall for a great photo drop and pretty tables, I wasn’t overly impressed with this perk. I personally would not go out of my way to visit this lounge to cool off. There are plenty of other places to cool off in Epcot. Read HERE for tips to stay cool in Disney.

As a DVC Member, the DVC Member lounge in EPCOT is a much nicer place to cool off. If given the choice between the two, hands down, the DVC lounge would win. However, I still appreciate Disney doing something to show appreciation for Annual Passholders.

Exclusive Annual Passholder Treats

There are two Annual Passholder exclusive treats at Sunshine Seasons that can be purchased. These items are not listed on the menu as they are exclusive to Annual Passholders. They are the “Raspberry ‘Lemonade’ Tart” ($6.99) and “A Spark of Grape Shake” ($8.99).

The Raspberry “Lemonade” Tart is a shortbread tart filled with lemon mousse, raspberry jam, and raspberry mousse. This treat was delicious, and I would get it again. It had just the right level of sweetness to balance the tartness. The crumbly shortbread tart added the right amount of crunch for the added texture to this dish. I would order this again.

Exclusive Passholder treats are available at Sunshine Seasons. The Raspberry “Lemonade” Tart is a get again dessert where the A Spark of Grape Shake is a one and done.

A Spark of Grape Shake is a grape, guava, passion fruit, orange and lime drink. This drink is a milkshake style drink. It is a heavy and filling beverage. Also, you will not taste the other flavors in this drink, the grape is very powerful. If you like grape, you will like this drink. However, this drink is not for everyone.

I did find it interesting and surprising that it was not regular whipped cream on top. I felt the whipped cream had a grape flavor to it as well. I will say, no matter how these treats tasted they were definitely photo worthy desserts.

Disney doesn’t know how many Passholder’s it has to plan for the M & M’s?
