Disney dropped some big news about the Disney Dining Plan returning next year! I know many of us can’t wait. However, they did leave some info out. Some Disney Guests may not be able to get the Disney Dining Plan.
Disney Dining Plan Returning
The World of Disney Parks fans is abuzz with the news that options for Disney dining plans are finally returning! The dining plans were not an option when the parks reopened, likely due to the lack of character dining and the number of restaurants open in general.
Now, with most dining back to normal Disney is finally ready to bring back the dining plan! Disney dining plans will be coming back as an option exclusively for those staying at Disney Resort hotels who purchase a vacation package with us starting with stays beginning Jan. 9, 2024, which will also open for bookings on May 31.
A NEW Change
Disney is offering 2 familiar dining plan options: The DisneyQuick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan. No details have been released on pricing, but you can read the full details surrounding the two plans here.
The Disney Dining Plan will return, but will look different from what we are used to. You can see all of the changes that they are making to the plan HERE.
Will Disney Vacation Club Members be able to add the Disney Dining Plan?
Did you catch the statement released by Disney? Here it is again: Disney dining plans will be coming back as an option exclusively for those staying at Disney Resort hotels who purchase a vacation package with us starting with stays beginning Jan. 9, 2024.
It states that Guests must purchase a vacation package in order to be able to enjoy the Disney Dining Plan starting January 9, 2024.
Disney Vacation Club Member Services confirmed at this time, it does not appear that Members will be able to add the Disney Dining Plan to their stay. HOWEVER, May 31st is still a ways away, and Disney could still announce that Members are able to it.
At this time Disney Vacation Club cannot confirm if the Disney Dining Plan will be able to be added on to a Disney vacation booked with DVC points.

I sincerely hope D V. C members will be able to purchase the dining plan !! We have always purchased it in the past as it gives us a sort of all inclusive feel to our holiday ! What’s the point ( excuse the pun! ) of being a DVc member if we don’t get these extras !

I agree! I am hopeful that they will announce something soon. My family loves that all inclusive feel as well.
