This year, runners got to experience an all new course for the half marathon. Unfortunately, we no longer run in three parks, but we did get to double dip in EPCOT.

Runners also got to run through Galaxy’s Edge. I loved the old courses, but I do think this was a fun and exciting change. Check out all the weekend courses HERE.

One thing has stayed the same. It is still the only runDisney event with a Post-Race Party! Check out all the details to the party HERE.

Characters Are Back

The meet and greets at the beginning and end of the race are back! No more just standing with a back drop, HOORAY!

I (Heather) was very excited for this as many of these meets were very rare characters. Check out some of them HERE.

Setting Records!

As if this weekend wasn’t impressive enough, a record was set! Megan Curham from New Jersey made history! She was the first female finisher with a time of 1:20:16!

Megan Curham is the event’s only four-time champion!

She has been the first female finisher four straight years! Impressive! With this win, she is also the event’s only four-time champion! Great work, Megan!

That wasn’t the only first though! Four-time Olympic track and field gold medalist and reality TV star Sanya Richards-Ross ran her very first 5k! How fun that she did this at Disney!

I (Heather) got to meet her at the Health & Fitness Expo! I was even able to grab a selfie with her!

It was so much fun participating in this runDisney weekend. I can’t wait for next year!
