Annual Passholder Perks
Annual Passholders receive some great perks at Walt Disney World. They include special merchandise discounts and fun effects as they scan their MagicBand when they arrive to the parks. This year, many lucky Annual Passholders, like myself (Susan), were able to preview Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind before it opened up for regular guests.
Other recent benefits for Passholders include Resort room and Disney merchandise discounts.
Collectible Magnets
One of my favorite benefit of being a Passholder are the collection of magnets! These are fun little decorations for refrigerator, vehicle, or any other magnetic surface.
In celebration of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, Annual Passholders were able to receive an EAR-idescent Mickey & Minnie magnet as well as an Orange Bird magnet. The magnets were only available at Disney Springs and a virtual queue was required in order to pick it up. Then, these stunning magnets came to the Creations Shop. Read all those details HERE.
Interacting with Magnets
Not only are they adorable, but there’s also an extra treat in store for the latest magnets called an Augmented Reality lens. It works with the newest magnets. The lens works with both Facebook and Snapchat to bring Mickey and Minnie to life. Take a look at Kate’s post HERE to see how it works.
Coming Soon
Disney just released that a new Annual Passholder magnet is coming soon! I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for it! Just today, on My Disney Experience, you’ll see “New Passholder magnet coming soon.”
No release date has been given yet, but it hopefully “soon” is very near. It will be mailed to active Passholders (2 per household) so be on the lookout for its arrival!

Design
Rather than display the full Annual Passholder design, Disney shows the top of a hat with a Daisy hat on it. Even though we don’t have the design, it is clear who will be featured on the next magnet, Minnie Mouse!! After all, that is her hat.
