Best Mobile Order Location

Do you hate waiting in line at the Disney Parks? My (Donna) family often becomes impatient while waiting in line – particularly when they are hungry. One of the best conviences that the Disney Parks has introduced is Mobile Ordering. On the Disney app, Disney Guests can add their favoirite menu selections to to their order and select their arrival time.

This is a great way to enjoy a great meal while skipping the line. I would dare say that Pym Test Kitchen is by far the BEST mobile order location at California Adventure. But be warned that arrival times are filled quickly for this desireable quick service dining location.

The day that we visited, we placed our dinner order at 11:00am and found the only arrival windows were available for after 6:00pm. This was perfect for our family, but those Guests hoping to enjoy Pym Test Kitchen for lunch were disappointed.

What is so unique about Pym Test Kitchen?

For a quick-service dining location, Pym Test Kitchen offers an unbelievable dining location. The premise for this kitchen is that food scientists use Ant-Man and The Wasp’s growing and shrinking technology to create super-sized and super-small foods at Pym Test Kitchen featuring Impossible™.

My (Donna) children were utterly fascinated when we entered the Pym Test Kitchen and they spied the overhead pretzels on a conveyor belt. As they passed through this large machine, the pretzels exited the machine much larger than when they entered. Immediately, all our children could think about was trying one of these pretzels.

Luckily we already had a large pretzel ready with Mobile Ordering. The Quantum Pretzel is a Bavarian-style pretzel served with a sharp cheddar cheese beer sauce. This pretzel was very good and our family of five devoured it fairly quickly.

Pym-ini Sandwich

I (Donna) ordered the Pym-ini Sandwich. This is an individual size of the Family-sized Pym-ini that can serve 6-8 guests at the whopping cost of $99.99. Why they didn’t just make it an even $100, I’m still not sure.

The Pym-ini Sandwich was filled with salami, salame rosa with pistachio nuts, rosemary ham, provolone cheese, and sun-dried tomato spread on toasted focaccia with marinara dipping sauce. The sandwich was extremely filling and absolutely delicious.

This dish was served with a side arugula salad that was fresh, crisp, and delicious. I would order this dish again and again.

Red Particle Mini-Meal

This is such a fun quick service location both for adults and children alike. My daughter ordered the Subatomic Chicken Sandwich. She loved how HUGE her chicken looked on the teeny tiny bun. The chicken was seasoned nicely and was delicious to both adult and child sized taste-buds.

This meal was served with baby carrots, Dannon yogurt with boba balls, and a small beverage. This meal was $9.99 and seemed like a great value to also include two great side options.

Mini Pasta and Impossible Meatballs

Our youngest absolutely loves pasta and was so excited to try the Mini-Pasta with Impossible Meatball kid’s meal. She is nine years old and she had no idea that Impossible meant that these meatballs did not contain meat. She devoured them happily and said that the pasta was “perfection.”

As with the other kid’s meal, this dish was served with baby carrots, Dannon yogurt with boba balls, and a small beverage. Speaking of beverages, the beverage station was themed with massive-sized soda cans.

However, the theming didn’t stop here. The condiment stand had gigantic condiment bottles looming overhead. These fun details made this quick service dining location fun for the entire family.

PB3 Superb Sandwich

My (Donna) husband ordered the PB3 Superb Sandwich. This interesting menu item as described as, “PB&J with Banana and Candied Bacon on Pym Particle Bread.” This sandwich clearly had a lot going on, but was it superb?

In one word, “NO”. As a child I used to love peanut butter and banana sandwiches. The addition of candied bacon sounded like perfection, but this sandwich was a bust for our taste buds. It was edible, but not worth another try for us. The blue dye on the bread had a less than appetizing taste and the bread was thin and crisp. Possibly a thicker bread may have delivered a more cohesive taste for this bold sandwich.

The PB3 Superb Sandwich was served with a Micro Banana Smoothie and crispy Potato Bites (the above picture featues the Micro Banana smoothie with the Pym-ini Sandwich entree). Truly the star of this meal was the Micro Banana Smoothie. It was served in a small tube and had a rich banana flavor. They also offer this flavorful banana smoothie in a 16oz serving in case the micro serving is not quite enough.

Celestial-sized Candy Bar: Choco-Smash CANDY Bar

Finally, the moment that our family had been waiting for: dessert! The Choco Smash Candy Bar is filled with Dark Chocolate, Peanuts, Caramel, Nougat and Chocolate Brownie. Doesn’t that sound amazing!

This candy bar was HUGE! Our family of five was pretty full after the pretzel appetizer and entree. We could easily split this Choco-Smash Candy Bar among the five of us. It was so delicious but a bit too rich to eat a large amount during one sitting. This dessert received giant thumbs up from all of our family members.

Would we dine here again? Absolutely! The ease of moblie ordering and great menu options will definitely have us visitng Pym Test Kitchen during a future trip to California Adventure. The menu prices were very reasonable for the serving sizes, and overall our children loved the theming and dining in the center of the Avengers Campus.

I have visited Pyms Test Kitchen and my daughter and I ate the Pasta and Impossible meatball meal. It was delicious and I would not hesitate to eat it again. Also I agree with your family. The theming is great. Thank you for a great review. Mrs. Nunn
