No one expects to have vacation interrupted by an emergency evacuation. But, many guests at Walt Disney World are in the process of evacuating a resort hotel on one of Florida’s coldest nights in recent memory.

Reports are circulating that the Polynesian could be experiencing a fire! At the very least, fire alarms sounded, alerting guests and Cast Members to a problem.

Guests report that it is the Great Ceremony House that has been evacuated. This building serves as the hotel’s main lobby. It also houses the restaurants such as ‘Ohana, Kona, Captain Cooks, Pineapple Lanai, and Trader Sam’s as well as resort gift shops.

The restaurants were still serving dinner at the time of the alarm, around 9:20-9:30 PM tonight (January 29, 2022). Therefore, the building was full of people needing to evacuate and reach a safe location.
