If you are planning on visiting Disney World you may need to change some of your plans. Read on for the updated closure that will be happening at this Magic Kingdom Resort.
Refurbishments are nothing new at Disney. Disney is constantly working to improve the guests experience. These refurbishments can make for a not-so-magical experience for guests. Sometimes construction can be very loud.
I know during a recent trip to Chef Mickey’s, the construction was so loud I could hardly hear my family talking. Luckily, we have been to Chef Mickey’s before so we know we have had better experiences. However, if this was my first visit, I would have been greatly disapppointed.
I wasn’t the only with a poor experience here. Fellow writer Jamie also had an unmagical time. Read her review HERE.

We recently shared that the main pool (Meadow Swimmin’ Pool) at the Fort Wilderness and the feature pool at the Contemporary Resort would be closed for refurbishment next year.
These refurbishments will take place from January 9, 2023 to early April 2023. For all the details about what will be closed and what will remain open read HERE.
2022 Update Refurbishment
The pool at the Contemporary Resort has some updated closures. If you are staying here soon please take note of these closures:
- January 17 to mid-February, the water play area near the feature pool will be unavailable.
- January 24 to January 28, the slide at the feature pool will be closed.
- February 7 to February 10, the Bay Lake Pool will be closed. During this time, Guests are welcome to enjoy the feature pool.
There will be several closures regarding the pools at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Towers.
Luckily most of these closures are not very long. I hope that these closures do not affect too many guests.
