The biggest weekend of running at Walt Disney World is almost here! A merchandise preview has just been released. Read on to see what you can expect to see.
runDisney
The Marathon Weekend is Disney’s biggest race weekend! I (Heather) will be participating in the Half Marathon. I can’t wait to see all you other runners out there.
The 2022 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is taking place Jan. 5 – 9, 2022.
It doesn’t matter if this is your first runDisney event or 30th, it is always a magical experience. Over the several races I have done, I have learned some helpful tips!

Expo
Runners will be able to find event exclusive merchandise at the Expo. Every runner must attend the Expo to receive their race bib. Only minors can get their bibs picked up by a parent or guardian. Unfortunately you can not pick up a bib for a friend or family member.
In order to get your bib you will have to sign a waiver for the event. This waiver has now gone digital! Some runners have had issues with races disappearing when trying to disassociate other runners from their accounts. Talk about stress when you are spending so much on a race!
The Expo is held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Marathon Weekend runners and guests are invited to attend during the following dates and times:
- Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- Friday, Jan. 7, 2022: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Event Merchandise

OOOOOhh a coffee mug and Magic Band. I know my coffee cup from Marathon Weekend 2020 is one of my favorites!
I am loving this Mickey shaped ornament. Usually, you see a sneaker ornament. This is fun!
I don’t know about the rest of you runners, but I am going to have to pack a bag just to bring home my merch!
