Today is the inaugural day of Disney’s Genie at Disneyland and boy has it been quite an adventure in more ways than one. So, how much more is the cost for Rise of the Resistance in comparison to purchasing it at Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World? Read on to learn more!
Disney Genie, Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane
Two days ago, Disneyland announced that Disney Genie, Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane would arrive at the Disneyland Resort on December 8, 2021.
Many guests who have visited Disneyland in the past became quite familiar with MaxPass which is quite similar in different ways to Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane.

Currently, Disneyland has 19 rides available with Genie+.

Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane Selections at Disney California Adventure Park:

- Soarin’ Around the World

The cost per day is $20, in comparison to $15 at Walt Disney World.
Rise of the Resistance Cost
Genie + and Individual Lightning Lane allows guests the option to purchase individual Lightning Lane passes for three different attractions throughout the two parks.
However, Individual Lightning Lanes are capped off at a limit of only being able to purchase two different ones per day.
Prices for these individual Lightning Lanes will vary between $7 and $20 per person per Lightning Lane and prices will fluctuate depending on the demand of the attraction on certain days.
Both Radiator Springs and Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure which are located at Disney California Parks will cost $7 per person.
As of the launch date today Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance costs $20 per person!
The individual price of Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland is even higher than that at Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World!

I grew up going to Disney. Many of my family members are former Cast members, myself included. My recent visit (November 26, 2021), I was very disappointed. To many guests paying more attention to their phones and not paying attention to where they are walking. Cat members with not displaying the “the all American look”. Pink hair, double earrings, men in mgmt with ponytails. I realize the era we are in but to me this is NOT the Walt Disney image. Walt Disney built Disneyland for everyone, however pricing continuing to rise, nick and dime the guest at every turn, rude cast members ….. Disney has lost its magic for me. I will never go again.

Amen! Not only the money where they are robbing us, but exactly what doug said..I love Disney but hate what Chapek has done. I am DVC and not happy with the points charts. Resort was better when I was there in November so at least hopeful with the resorts themselves. Most cast members were great!

Poor Disney ... before Covid I was a 17 year signature annual pass holder… never again ... I've moved on from Disney… I've found much better venues ... it's really a shame how Chepeg has squeezed all the magic out of the parks… The imagineers hate him ... The fandom is upset seemingly each week over a new issue ... cast members don't want to return ... it's a bitter disappointment ....

I wouldn't want to pay that but I did pay $15 at DW because the rest of my family was going for the first time. I believe the daughter I am going to DL with in March will want to pay it so I will only because only the 2 of us are going together. I have been on it 3 times and it will be interesting to see any difference in DL but I wouldn't pay it except I wouldn't want her to go alone. I've already paid a high rate for my ticket and don't like paying any more. I can do without anything that is going to cost me more money! Disney is robbing us!
