Main Street, U.S.A.
In preparation for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, all 4 Theme Parks have received extra doses of magical refurbishments. Undoubtedly, Magic Kingdom has received the most magical overlays of all four Theme Parks.
For several months one sweet location, the Main Street Confectionery, was undergoing a refurbishment. Yesterday we shared that Main Street Confectionery now has a reopening date.
Previously the Main Street Cinema housed sweet confections for Guests to purchase while the Main Street Confectionery was closed. Very soon the Main Street Cinema will be vacant again, but not for long.
50th Anniversary Merchandise
Multiple merchandise collections will be available for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. Check out all of these great collections HERE.
Guests have recently enjoyed purchasing items from the Pre-Celebration Collection at Walt Disney World. Check out where these items have been found HERE. Not only is this collection AMAZING, but it has also been introduced with purchasing restrictions as well. See this new protocol HERE.
The Vault Collection Arriving Soon
Those Disney fans that love the retro vibe of Disney merchandise will love the Vault Collection. This collection will also included retro-inspired plush and tee-shirts.
You can show up ready for this golden celebration just like it is 1971. I personally loved the original Walt Disney World logo and appreciate that is is featured on this retro-inspired merchandise.
This retro collection can be found at the Main Street Cinema in Magic Kingdom. Kelsey Madison, Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager for Disney Springs shares, “It will be filled with vintage photos, colors, and details including photo-worthy backdrops and props inspired by beloved attractions from Walt Disney World Resort history.”
The Vault Collection will also be available at the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs. This location will also receive a retro overlay. Madison shares, “Get ready to be transported back to the 1970s with a nostalgic museum-like display that invites shoppers to learn about original Walt Disney World Resort attractions and resorts.”
“Guests will have a unique opportunity to experience and engage in photo opportunities with vintage props including carousel horses from the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, replicas of the Orange Bird and the Tiki sculptures, as well as many more props and displays that tell stories from years past.“
“I also love that in addition to the photo moments, the team has created engaging spaces where you can learn more about Walt Disney World Resort history, things like The Preview Center, original attractions, and even the opening year 1971 resorts.”
Guests can shop for The Vault Collection at Main Street Cinema in Magic Kingdom and at Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs.
