With the recent news that Guests are no longer required to wear face coverings when outdoors in Walt Disney World, you may be wondering how this will impact former rules like ordering food and eating and drinking while walking. Read on to see how these new rules are being interpreted.

Remaining Stationary while eating and drinking

Under the former Disney World masking regulations, Guests were required to be stationary and separated from other Guests while eating and drinking.

In other words, eating and drinking while walking was not allowed.

If any Guests violated this policy, Cast Members would remind them to please put on their mask or to move off to the side to continue eating or drinking.

With the relaxation of the mask policy, Disney states that Guests can now remove their masks when outdoors. Face coverings are still required in indoor locations, in queues, and on all attractions (whether inside or outside).

Under Disney’s new mask policy, Guests may now enjoy their food and beverages while walking throughout the parks in outdoor areas.

We’ve also noticed that Guests in line at outdoor food booths have largely remained unmasked.

Even as they are ordering at outdoor booths, Guests are not required to wear a face covering.

Cast Members are still required to wear face coverings in all areas of the park, despite Disney relaxing the policy for Guests.

Whatever I need to do to go back to Disney and enjoy myself I will agree with.

Probably because ultimately most queues go inside and it would simply be too complicated to try to get that granular.

If you dont have to wear a mask in food lines then why do we have to wear a mask in outdoor ride lines and on rides!!

Even though I have been fully vaccinated, I do not know if people I am interfacing with are also vaccinated. My personal belief is it is a bit premature in dropping the "guards". I will be maintaining masking and distancing protocols.
