Patriotic Pride
Since Disneyland first welcomed guests in 1955 until now, the Disney Parks have found special ways to pay tribute to our great country and to the men and women who have served.
One daily way that both Disneyland and Walt Disney World show honor to our country is by raising and lowering the American flag daily right on Main Street. Walt Disney endeavored for both Disneyland and Walt Disney World to foster pride for our country. This is clearly evident as you see the American flags lined along Main Street, USA.

Today, President Trump signed an Executive Order that included many great nominees to be included in the “National Garden of American Heroes.” Trump stated, “Each individual has been chosen for embodying the American spirit of daring and defiance, excellence and adventure, courage and confidence, loyalty and love.”

Included in this long list of heroes is Walt Disney. As a Disney fan, I am so excited to hear that a statue of Walt Disney may be included in such an honorable way. Walt was truly a true patriot at heart.

Agreed! His level of patriotism was amazing and the fact that Disneyland and WDW both still maintain that is remarkable in this day and age. I applaud them for continuing this tradition.
