Heads up all you Disney goers: Blizzard Beach will be closed one day this weekend due to the forecasted weather.

It’s winter, which means the water parks will be closing due to refurbishment or cooler weather. Every year the two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, trade off for refurbishment so each can be updated and refreshed.

Typhoon Lagoon is currently closed due to refurbishment. As long as all goes well, it will reopen in mid-March. Just in time for Spring Break crowds! If you will be in Disney at that time, check the March crowd calendar to plan your trip to Typhoon Lagoon!

H2O Glow Nights Returning to Typhoon Lagoon in 2020

Plus, in May, Typhoon Lagoon will be hosting H2O Glow Nights! This a fun after-hours pool party featuring Rex from Toy Story! Enjoy a DJ dance party, special glow-light effects and decor, event-themed food and beverages, and low waits for all the attractions!

You can find more details for H2O Glow Nights HERE.

Blizzard Beach just reopened last month after its winter refurbishment. It was scheduled to end on January 13. However, it actually reopened about a week later. Since then, it has been closed many days due to cool weather.

With cooler weather coming in this weekend, Blizzard Beach will be closed. Check Kenny’s FREE crowd calendar to check your dates if you will be at Disney this weekend!

If Blizzard Beach will be closed during your stay, you can always swim at your resort. They are heated! However, heated pool or not, it may still be a bit chilly to be at the pool.
