Everything has been leading to this moment! The Avengers: Infinity War trailer has officially arrived and the hype is real! This trailer is action packed and full of exciting team ups and potential heartbreaks, but did you realize how much was actually in the trailer?! Here are some blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments, as well as a few of my favorites.

Before we begin, if you have not already, watch the trailer below. Trust me, your life will be better for it. Scientifically proven.

Scarlet Witch and Vision
One of the first scenes we open up to is of Wanda (Scarlet Witch) and the Vision, only the Vision has seemed to have received a slight make-over…. he’s human! Since Scarlet Witch’s loss of her brother Pietro (Quicksilver) in Age of Ultron combined with the events she faced in Civil War being the last straw to inact Sokovia Accords, it’s safe to say Wanda is due to reach a breaking point very soon.

Looking to the comics, Wanda does snap and in doing so alters all of reality to create a shared alternate reality where mutants never existed and she and The Vision are married with two children. This reality also affects all of our heroes including Peter Parker (Spider-Man) who’s fairy tale ending was having a family with Gwen Stacy who previously died due to his inexperience while fighting the Green Goblin. Now the movies deviate quite a bit from the comics, yet the inspiration is still there. It is possible this scene could be showing us the psychic break of Scarlet Witch seeing as later in the trailer we do see the Mind Stone being forcibly removed from Vision, possibly resulting in his end.

Spider Sense Confirmed/Iron Spider Suit

Spider-Man: Homecoming gave us Peter Parker’s full welcome into the Marvel Cinematic Universe ending with Tony Stark’s attempt to make him an Avenger with a new suit and everything. As to be expected, Peter turns him down believing it’s “all a test”. Infinity War will show us Peter in action in his new suit for the first time as well official confirmation of Spider-Man’s Spider Sense from the comics which was not been previously confirmed.

The Black Order: Ebony Maw

The trailer shows us a scene, seemingly meaningless, of someone walking over multiple bodies with flames all around to convey just what we can expect from Thanos and his crew, The Black Order. However brief and extremely limited, we are actually getting our first glimpse of the Ebony Maw on screen (the cuffed boots and pants are an exact match to the statue revealed at D23).  One of the members of The Black Order, the Ebony Maw used his genius level intellect and psychic persuasion to go toe-to-toe with Doctor Strange, ultimately overcoming him and causing him to summon all sorts of trouble.

The Black Order: Proxima Midnight

In a literal blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, we are introduced to another member of Thanos’ Black Order, Proxima Midnight, launching her staff at Steve Rogers. In the comics, Proxima Midnight initially landed in the heart of New York City laying waste to everything in her path until she was met by Luke Cage and the two literally came to a stalemate. Hopefully, we will finally get to see the whole of the MCU come together and bring characters like Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and Iron Fist into the fold.

The Black Order: Corvus Glaive

The Vision is definitely having a tough time in this trailer introducing us to a scene where the Mind Stone, that as far we know gives him life, is literally being torn from him. We again see Proxima Midnight in attendance only by her glowing staff, but who is doing all the damage to Vision? None other than Corvus Glaive, another one of Thanos lieutenants of The Black Order and arugably the most evil of the Order. In the comics, Corvus Glaive is frequently sent by Thanos to receive “tribute” from worlds supressed, and yet to be supressed, by Thanos and crew.

The Outriders

Wakanda is being attacked by a massive legion of alien assailants known as The Outriders. The Outriders are nasty creatures with the ability to peer into one’s mind to retrieve whatever information they please, not to mention they’re near animalistic fighting ability. They are usually not far behind Corvus Glaive himself.

Thanos’ Rock Collection

We get a glimpse at Thanos attaching his first obtained Infinity Stone and a scene showing two Infinity Stones in the Gauntlet. The two stones are the Power stone, from Guardians of the Galaxy currently residing with the Nova Corps, and the Space stone, which we see Loki surrendering earlier in the trailer. If, likely when, Thanos obtains all six Infinity Stones (Power, Mind, Reality, Space, Time, Soul), he will obtain an absolute power that could end life and reality as we know it for our heroes. In the comics, Thanos obtains all six stones, snaps his fingers, and half of all life in the universe disappears. Yeah, it’s that bad.

“Get This Man a Shield!”

Personally, I loved this moment but what is most notable to take away from it are Cap’s new digs. As a fugitive from the government, noticeably, Cap’s uniform is absent of any color or symbol which is very reminiscent of a time where Captain America became “a man without a country” and the hero known as, Nomad.

Also, in the epic end shot if you look closely, Captain America has a new set of Wakandan gauntlets outfitted with his own claws. Captain Claws just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Our Favorite Bunch of Losers

And of course, this article would not be complete without mentioning the GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY! I am so excited that my favorite team will be finally teaming up with my other favorite team! Also, Teen Groot is back. With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 leaving off where it did, I do wonder what will draw the Guardians back to Peter Quill’s home planet of Earth?

Will Scarlet Witch go mad and create an alternate reality? How will our heroes save the universe from Thanos? What do you want to see in Avenger: Infinity War? Let me know in the comments!
