Turkey Leg News
For the lovers of the overly salted ginormous turkey treat, Disney has announced that they will no longer sell Turkey Legs in Frontierland and will begin offering them in Tomorrowland at the Cool Ship location on March 25th. Seems like an odd move for a couple of reasons:
- Why not offer a popular treat in multiple locations, which boosts sales?
- Why not offer them in Frontierland where they seem to be a greater fit thematically?
What do you think about these recent menu changes?

Walt Disney made alot of effort with how everything in the parks were themed. Whoever made the decision to move Turkey leg vendor to Tomorrowland surely is not following Walt's ideas. The Turkey leg goes much better with Frontierland and Liberty Square. Disney is slowly losing what made it so popular.

Today, March 14, Sunshine Tree only had pineapple or vanilla (or swirled). If you wanted orange, you had to go to the old Aloha location. In addition, they haven't transitioned well. The lines were long, poorly managed, and SLOW. It was curious considering they seemed to have more room and registers running at this location. It was too mobbed to tell if they had more actual soft serve machines.

Hopefully they will get it ironed out soon. Does seem silly that they can't do something this simple correctly.

That is the only place we eat the Turkey legs... Frontierland! Maybe all the birds stealing and diving in for the treats there has gotten someone angry? I know at one of the dance parties a segul game and scooped a churro out of someones hand and scared the kid next to him dropping their leg where then a bunch of cranes (think that is what they are) came and fought over the leg in swarms. It was comical to watch but probably not so for that family.

The Dole Whip Float is soft serve ice cream in pineapple juice. You can pick from vanilla, pineapple or orange ice cream. So its like a traditional float but instead of soda they use pineapple juice. They are very good if you like pineapple juice.

the only tie-in to turkey legs in tomorrowland that I can think of is the new Miles in Tomorrowland cartoon... he has a pet space ostrich.... and the rumor is turkey legs are really ostrich legs, so..... yeah, that's a weird move, no matter how you look at it. ;-)
