If you love Disney history, you will love this! One of Disney's Audio-Animatronics has finally returned to the attraction where it was originally part of the storytelling.

One thing that sets Disney Parks apart from amusement parks is the storytelling that permeates the attractions. And what would the stories be without the stars of the show, the Audio-Animatronics?

Guests of Disney Parks love the Animatronics. After all, how many of us have core memories involving a Grim Grinning Ghost, a Silly Ole Bear, a scientist in boots, or even an airship piloted by a little purple dragon and the Dream Finder?

New Audio-Animatronics like the Walt Disney one coming to the updated Carousel of Progress are exciting. But perhaps even more exciting is discovering that a beloved memory has re-materialized in the parks!

Now one of Animal Kingdom's Opening Day attractions has welcomed back an audio animatronic. If you have been traveling to Disney since at least 2012, you might remember Little Red, a baby elephant animatronic.

If you rode Kilimanjaro Safaris in its earlier days, you may remember that it had a storyline involving poaching. Big Red and Little Red were kidnapped by poachers, and they needed to be rescued.

Earlier this year, Little Red returned to the park. He was added to the Caring for Giants tour. However, now he has been spotted on Kilimanjaro Safaris!

How to Spot Little Red

This weekend, Little Red was spotted on display and visible for guests experiencing Kilimanjaro Safaris. He was situated behind a fence in an area in the Harambe Wildlife Reserve just beyond the spot where you can often see African elephants enjoying the day.

He is visible from several angles. It was fun seeing him again. It definitely brought back memories of my (Kate's) first visit to Animal Kingdom.

It is unclear whether this is a permanent spot to see Little Red or whether Little Red will continue to move from place to place. We will, of course, report back if we learn any additional details.
