One popular Disney World recreation activity has been closed for months. We finally know when Guests can enjoy this activity again! Get the details!

Golf at Disney World

Disney is home to the Most Magical Place on Turf! Step away from the theme parks, and go for a round of golf. You will find four golf courses at Disney World. Three of them are 18 holes and one is a 9 hole course. The courses are Disney's Lake Buena Vista, Disney's Palm, Disney's Magnolia and Disney's Oak Trail.

IMPORTANT Warning: Alligators, snakes and other wildlife are present at many golf course areas and waterways. It is unsafe and illegal to feed wildlife.

Golf Course Refurbishments

Disney's Magnolia Golf Course received a major refurbishment and fully reopened in March 2025. Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is now undergoing a big refurbishment.

Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course closed for refurbishment on May 4th 2026.

This refurbishment will include:

Enhancements will be made to several tee areas.
Greens will be fully renovated with new contouring and elevation changes.
Updated green side bunkers and chipping areas to improve playability.
Irrigation systems will be upgraded around the greens to better maintain turf conditions in the surrounding chipping areas.
New bunker drainage will be installed across many bunkers to reduce water retention and speed up recovery after rain.

Reopening Date

When Disney shared that Lake Buena Vista Golf Course would be closing for refurbishment, we only knew that it would open some time in the fall. We now know when the course will reopen!

Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course will reopen on October 23rd 2026!

The golf course will reopen on October 23, 2026. Reservations are now open, so Guests can book their tee times today!
