Spaceship Earth Will Be Reimagined

Several years ago, Disney announced a refurbishment for Spaceship Earth. However, that project was canceled along with several others.

But now, the reimagining is back on the table. For the first time in nearly 20 years, Spaceship Earth is getting an update.

Disney plans to bring Spaceship Earth into the age of the internet and beyond! Boy oh boy, they had better get this one right!

What's the Plan for Spaceship Earth

The reimagining entails a change in the overall theme of the attraction. The beloved ride currently tells the story of human communication, but the team is reimagining that focus on a broader theme that is still classically EPCOT - human connection. Disney also revealed that every scene will get new magic.
