One large perk for Walt Disney World Guests is the use of free transportation. Due to the massive size of the Walt Disney World Resort, this is a much-needed perk for Guests.

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you can take Disney Transportation to Disney Springs. Some Resorts offer bus transportation or water taxi transportation.

For quite a while, many non-Walt Disney World Resort Guests used a loophole to enjoy free Disney parking.

Beginning June 28, 2026, Guests boarding Disney Resort buses and the Sassagoula River Cruise from Disney Springs must show either a Resort room reservation, a dining reservation, or a recreation activity reservation.

If you are a Walt Disney World Resort Guest, you may board a bus or watercraft and head towards any Walt Disney World Resort regardless of which resort you are staying at.

At this time, this restriction is in place only at Disney Springs. Guests not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort can still enjoy free transportation from all Theme Parks to each Disney Resort.

However, many non-Resort Guests enjoyed free parking at Disney Springs while also enjoying free transportation for Disney Resort Hopping. This new restriction closes that loophole. See how this affects Walt Disney World Annual Passholders HERE.

The Walt Disney World website has now been updated to reflect this recent change: "Bus service from Disney Springs to Disney Resort hotels is available for Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel or visiting one with a valid dining or experience reservation. Guests may be asked to show a valid Resort hotel room key, dining reservation, or experience reservation. "

It appears that Disney is adding tighter restrictions throughout Walt Disney World Resort by requiring wristbands at select Disney Resort pools. We will continue to update if more restrictions are announced.
