Disney Takes Steps to Make a "Super App"

Disney looks to streamline making Disney reservations with a new "Super App". This could make Disney Park planning even easier.

Although many guests would rather not be on their phone while on vacation, the My Disney Experience app for Disney World Guests is truly invaluable. After all, it has everything you need to enjoy a magical vacation! 

This app helps Guests plan their vacation, from booking their next Lightning Lane Multi-Pass selection to even locating their car after a long day in the parks.

Like all apps, it receives regular updates to improve the overall guest experience. The most recent updates include great updates to help save money on your Disney vacation and easier Park navigation.

Multiple Disney Apps

The complaint of many Disney fans is that each Disney destination needs a separate app. For example, there are separate apps for Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and the Disney Cruise Line.

According to a report from Bloomberg, Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro and executives are now discussing ways to simplify the way Disney guests gain access to all things Disney.

Back in March, D'Amaro told shareholders the goal to evolve Disney+ into a platform to allow streaming, purchasing merchandise, secure park tickets, enjoy games, and experiences.

Disney Super App

This sounds amazing and even makes us wonder why there is not already a "Super App", but then we remember the technology challenges that often plague Disney.

Josh D'Amaro aims to create a "Super App" combining Disney+, My Disney Experience, shopping, and special experiences.

At this time, this is simply a concept. The process to combine Disney+ and Hulu has been a bit more challenging than once imagined. The dream of a "Super App" is a great one, but we may be waiting for it for a bit longer.
