Disney World's Surprise Meet and Greet Leaves Fans Disappointed
Disney fans had high hopes for this new surprise meet and greet, but this is not what many were expecting.
Cool Kid's Summer
Walt Disney World has us all counting down the days until summer vacation. The pure magic of Disney returns this summer with fun kid zones, more character interactions, and great discounts.
Back in the summer of 2023, Walt Disney World started V.I.Passholder days. Although the first offering had a few hiccups, 2024 and 2025 had many great improvements.
Thankfully, V.I.Passholder Summer Days will return again this summer!
V.I.Passholder Summer Perks
Starting today, May 1, 2026, and running through July 31, 2026, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can enjoy great dining discounts. The best part is that several character dining locations are included. Check these out HERE.
Annual Passholders can grab a new magnet featuring Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story. Check out full details HERE.
Restaurant Marrakesh in the Morocco Pavilion is now open daily from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm. Annual Passholders can enjoy complimentary snacks, special MagicShots, and add another Annual Passholder button to their collection.
Surprise Annual Passholder Meet and Greet
This summer, Annual Passholders can meet "some of Mickey's best pals" at EPCOT's Magic Eye Theater (located to the left of the Journey Into Imagination with Figment attraction) from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm daily.
Chip 'n Dale greet Annual Passholders at the Magic Eye Theater from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm daily.
This is the meet and greet space near the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival. Many Guests may remember meeting Mickey Mouse here while CommuniCore Hall was under construction.
Today, this space opened to Annual Passholders, and we had high hopes for a fun meet and greet, but were left a bit disappointed. Chip 'n Dale greeted Guests in their 50th Anniversary costumes.
While we love Chip 'n Dale and loved Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary, this felt a bit disappointing. We hoped for a new or more rare meet and greet experience.
More of Mickey's pals may greet Guests at this space throughout the day. It will be interesting to see if they will all sport the 50th Anniversary costumes.
