Disney Imagineers have added magic to the tunnel that Guests pass through. Zurg will now clearly be seen releasing space mines that you can fire at and earn more points. The best part, Buzz Lightyear will join you in this battle.
Disney updated the description of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin on the official website. You can check out the new description HERE and the brand new attraction photo HERE.
Last week, Disney announced that Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin will reopen on April 8, 2026. We have good news regarding a possible early opening.
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin Soft Opening

Today, select Walt Disney World Cast Members received an "Incoming Transmission". Eligible Cast members can sign up for a "playtest" to experience this attraction before it officially reopens to Guests.
Cast Member "playtests" begin March 21st for Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.
These "playtests" begin this Saturday, March 21st, through Friday, March 27, 2026. We hope that these "playtests" go well and that the attraction may have a soft opening sooner than April 8, 2026.
Walt Disney World has opened many attractions and dining locations early as a soft opening for Guests, most recently for EPCOT's Frozen Ever After. This is great news for Guests visiting early April.
What do you think of this early testing? Do you think this attraction will offer a soft opening? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.
