UPDATE: Disney Monorail Route Changes Continue
The other day, the Monorail at Disney World received a route update. Find out what you need to know about this route change.
New Route
On November 2nd, the Express Monorail had changed its route. The route was believed to be in a test phase.
With the new route The Express Monorail traveled in a clockwise direction versus the previous counterclockwise direction. The Resort Monorail and the Express Monorail travel in the same direction.

Route Changed Again
Yesterday, Guests took notice that the Express Monorail had returned to its previous route direction. The Express Monorail was back to operating in a counter-clockwise direction.

UPDATE: Route Changes Mid Day!
It has now been reported that the Express Monorail will change direction mid day. The directional change is expected to take place between 12:30 PM and 4 PM.
The Express Monorail will change directions mid day. The change will occur between 12:30 PM and 4 PM daily.
The Express Monorail will continue in a counter-clockwise direction in the morning, and then switch to a clockwise direction for the afternoon. The ride from the Transportation and Ticket Center through the Contemporary Resort to Magic Kingdom (and vice versa) is slightly faster than through the ride through the Polynesian and Grand Floridian to finally reach the Magic Kingdom.
It is believed that this updated route is in the testing phase.
