We noticed some additional safety measures added to Disney's Animal Kingdom, and we think we may know the reason why.

Disney's Animal Kingdom is changing quite a bit with the phased closure of DinoLand USA.

Another change for Disney's Animal Kingdom is the new "Zootopia Better Zoogether" show. It will officially open on November 7, 2025, at the former "It's Tough To Be a Bug" theater inside the Tree of Life.

The other day, Disney finally unveiled the marquee entrance sign for this new attraction. Be sure to check out a video of this new show HERE.

Cast Member previews are well underway for the new "Zootopia Better Zoogether" show. One thing we noticed is that overhead safety netting is now added to the queue for this attraction.

At first, when we visited Disney's Animal Kingdom, we thought that this structure covering the queue might provide shade. This would be a much-welcome addition, but unfortunately, that was not the case.

We suspect that the safety netting might have been added with a possible Tree of Life refurbishment. It has been a few years since the last Tree of Life refurbishment. This added safety netting could help keep guests safe during the refurbishment process.

Disney has not officially announced a refurbishment for the Tree of Life, but this seems to be plausible explanation for the overhead safety netting.

When the Tree of Life received a huge refurbishment in January 2023 this closed many of the walking trails located around it. Keep following along for all of the Disney refurbishment news.
