Disney has been using virtual queues for quite some time now. The most popular way to utilize them is for attractions.

Walt Disney World made 2 BIG Virtual Queue changes earlier this year. Both Tiana's Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind moved to traditional standby queues.

The option remains for guests to purchase the Lightning Lane Multi-pass and select Tiana's Bayou Adventure as a Tier 1 attraction. Get full details on purchasing and making Lightning Lane Multipass selections HERE. To skip the line at Cosmic Rewind, guests must purchase the Lightning Lane Single Pass, which now has a new price increase.

With the very first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party set for November 7, 2025 and November 8, 2025 for Jollywood Nights, Walt Disney World will make the change from Halloween to Christmas fairly quickly.

Guests can meet Santa Claus at several locations in the Theme Parks. Be sure to check out the new location to meet Santa at EPCOT this year.

You can meet Santa at Walt Disney World without even needing a park ticket. Over at Disney Springs, you can meet Santa Claus near Disney Pin Traders from November 13th through December 24, 2025.

Guests can join the Virtual Queue to meet Santa on the My Disney Experience app at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm. It is important to note that you must be at Disney Springs to join the Virtual Queue.

One person from your traveling party can join the Virtual Queue for your entire group (with a maximum number of 10 members per group). After joining a Virtual Queue, you will receive push notifications when it is time to meet Santa.

This is a great way to add a bit of holiday magic during a non-park day. A PhotoPass photographer will happily capture photos, and these are included if you have purchased Memory Maker.
