Holiday Filming at Disney World
As many Disney fans know, Disney produces a number of shows throughout the holidays. These specials share great entertainment featured inside the Disney Parks and allow guests and Cast Members to be featured on camera.

This can be a magical experience for many guests, but it does alter the traditional entertainment schedule for guests visiting.
Disney World Holiday Filming Schedule 2025
Typically, we begin to see Christmas decorations adorn EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom towards the end of October. Magic Kingdom waits until the final guests leave the final night of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, before the first Christmas wreath is hung.
In previous years, holiday filming typically took place around the week of November 10th. This year, Disney is way ahead of schedule, beginning holiday filming this week.
On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, holiday filming took place overnight at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Early on Friday, October 17, 2025, filming took place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with Mariah the Scientist performing.
When is 2025 Holiday Filming at Magic Kingdom?
Now that holiday filming has officially begun at Walt Disney World, our next question is, when will it begin at Magic Kingdom? That answer is a little more difficult this year.

In previous years, we were able to speculate based on the Festival of Fantasy Parade operating schedule at Magic Kingdom. This year, a schedule is not available past November 1, 2025. We will continue to provide updates on future holiday filming dates throughout Walt Disney World.
