Disney Announces New Avengers-Themed Tower of Terror Attraction
The classic Tower of Terror attraction is offered at several Disney Parks, and Disney just announced a new Avengers theme for this thrilling attraction.

The fan favorite Tower of Terror attraction brings thrills to guests of all ages. This attraction is offered at both Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios and Disneyland's Paris Walt Disney Studios Park.
The attraction is similar at both parks, but the pre-show is a bit different. Apparently, Parisian guests love to be scared, so this attraction offers a bit more of an ominous vibe.
In 2017, Tower of Terror received a retheme at Disneyland's California Adventure. On May 27, 2017, Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout allowed guests to enjoy the greatest thrills while also rocking out to the greatest sounds in the galaxy.
New Avengers Themed Experience
With the popularity of this unpredictable, fast-falling attraction, Disney will now expand the Tower of Terror to another Disney Park, but with an interesting twist.
Today, Disney Parks teased a first look at the new Avengers-themed Tower of Terror-like attraction coming to Hong Kong Disneyland.
The above concept art shows an attraction vehicle similar to what is used in the classic Tower of Terror attraction. Guests will be immersed in many of our favorite Avengers storylines with characters such as Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Thor, and Black Panther.
New Avengers Campus
"A new look at the Super Hero-themed extended area coming exclusively to Hong Kong Disneyland! This new area in Tomorrowland will bring to life the brilliant minds from the Avengers and their friends, including an all-new attraction, entertainment, shopping, and dining."
New Avengers-themed attraction will offer similar thrills to the classic Tower of Terror attraction.
It appears that this new Tower of Terror-type attraction will be in this large Avengers building. We love the overall concept of this new Avengers Campus. You can see the full announcement from Disney:

So don't get worked up thinking they are changing something in The orange groves yet, but try not to get worked up over some very protective opinions about our classic attractions either. LoL
That said... I love original ToT at Studios .. been going to Disney since before I could walk and remember When it was MGM , so there are lots of rides I love as they are, and many as they were formally some I miss others i am torn between the old and new ..
I would definitely not want a new ToT ride in Orlando, but think the idea of a Marvel themed ride at another park is cool .. I'd love to see what they come up with for a similar drop ride with a super hero/avenger story line, añd if it is different than the Guardians version in CA.

Is their money and they can do what ever they want. Same as I know where not to again spend my many on.
Did none of you read the article?? It clearly says the new Avengers themed ToT will be in Hong Kong. I highly doubt anything will be done to ToT at Disney World. The cost alone would be exorbitant and people will be pissed, as most of you have shown. I hope I get to visit all of the Disney Parks one day, not just those in the US (which I've already done). I would love to see the different rides in each park.
Everyone getting up in arms over this clearly didn’t read the entire article. It clearly states that this is a new ride at Disneyland in Hong Kong, not a retrofit of an existing ride. It just uses the same mechanics as Tower of Terror.
ToT, though, is based on something. While an original storyline, it is a Twilight Zone IP, so they instead are developing a new ride using the same or similar mechanics for Hong Kong using their Marvel IP. Not much different.
@Bricketh, at the end of the article, it asks what is your opinion of an Avenger overlay. They are expressing a change in Orlando would not be accepted by many ToT fans.

No! Not everything has to be based on what's popular. The classic ToT is a wonderful ride and not related to anything else, even Haunted Mansion (ghosts). I've been to Disney World 5 times (really 4 because Epcot was still being built when I went as a child) and I plan on going again. This would be disappointing if WDW were to also change it; I probably wouldn't bother with the wait.
There are no current announcements about WDW Tower changing. The majority of the Marvel license is still held by Universal Orlando, so their choices would be limited. Scarlett Johansson is supposedly still working on a movie based on the lore of the WDW version.
Another moronic change of a new imagineer wanting to put their thumb print on WDW. STOP! ADD Another park and have at it. Keep your imagination off the existing attractions. Less than imaginative.
Whomever has a hard ambition to change classic attractions to put their thumb print on any Disney Park is mentally deficient. LEAVE THEM ALONE! Add another park to add all the things you want to do. Put back the Muppets attracrion.
