In the newest Disney/Pixar film that is set to hit Disney+ this month, the universe has called back! Elio has an active imagination and loves aliens. Elio finds himself transported to the Communiverse, an interplanetary paradise that is home to intelligent life from galaxies far and wide.
Elio is a comedic misadventure that follows alien-obsessed Elio.
These leaders mistakenly believe that Elio is Earth’s leader! Now Elio must navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions! He also discovers who and where he is meant to be.
Digital Release
Elio debuted in theaters on June 20, 2025, this was after the movie had been delayed. You can read more about the delay HERE.
The film had its digital release on August 19, 2025. It was available for digital purchase or rental through various platforms, including Prime Video and Apple TV.
The movie then got its 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD debut on September 9, 2025.
Elio Comes to Disney+
Elio has now been given its Disney+ streaming debut date! Elio will begin streaming on Disney+ on September 17, 2025.

Even with its mediocre performance at the box office, the film has overall good reviews. This looks to be another fun movie from Disney and Pixar, and I can’t wait to see it.
