Disney Parade Float Catches Fire

Last night, September 10, 2025, Disney guests were shocked when the Little Mermaid float caught on fire. No doubt this was a scary situation for both Cast Members and Guests.
According to Guests, the float experienced difficulties near the Matterhorn Bobsleds. Disney quickly deactivated the float while Cast Members were evacuated.

To ensure safety for Guests and Cast Members the float was towed down Main Street at which time Guests shared seeing sparks of fire and smoke from this float.

Disney quickly evacuated Guests around this malfunctioning float. It appears that there were no injuries from this scary malfunction. @emmuhthefloor shared her experience seeing this float smoking as she exited Star Tours:
