Breaking: Disney Offers One Free Lightning Lane for Resort Guests
Disney is changing up perks for Disney Resort Guests. While one perk ends, a new perk is announced. What do you think of this change?
Lightning Lane Multi-Pass

Last summer, Disney Parks made a change from the previous Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane system that allowed guests to skip the line for a fee. The new Lightning Lane Multi-Pass is very similar to the previous Disney Genie+, with a few exceptions.
Lightning Lanes can be purchased as a Multi-Pass or an Individual Lightning Lane.
Disney reserves the right to make changes to which attractions are offered with Lightning Lane, and selections are limited. Check out our full review of using the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass HERE.
Early Park Entry Ending

Disney has made many changes over the years to the perks offered for Disney Resort Guests. One of the more popular changes is that of Early Theme Park Entry.
First introduced in 2021, Early Theme Park Entry allows guests staying at Walt Disney World Resorts to enter all 4 Theme Parks 30 minutes early. This was later also offered at Disneyland.
For 2026, Early Park Entry will no longer be offered at Disneyland. Before January 5, 2026: Guests who are checked in and staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels can still enjoy Early Park Entry offered at Disneyland Park on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. This is offered at Disney California Adventure on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
Free Lightning Lane Multi-Pass

Now that this perk is coming to an end, Disney will offer one Lightning Lane entry to a Lightning Lane Multi-Pass attraction for guests checked in and staying at one of the Disneyland Resorts. It will be interesting to see how this will be made available to guests.
Disneyland Resort Guests receive 1 free Lightning Lane Multi-Pass attraction in 2026
This new perk starts on January 5, 2026. Along with this change, the Pixar Place Hotel will no longer offer Theme Park access to guests due to low guest use.
