Magic Kingdom fans have been waiting for a nighttime parade since 2016. “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” will draw inspiration from the rich history of nighttime parades at Magic Kingdom. Get full details for which characters will be featured HERE.

“Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” parade will debut on July 20th at Magic Kingdom. Due to the overwhelming popularity of this parade, Disney made changes to Park Reservations. Find out how this will affect your trip HERE.

As we hoped, there will be 2 showtimes nightly for this parade at both 9:00 pm and 11:00 pm. As stated before, this will also change the showtimes for Happily Ever After starting in July.

With two showtimes, this will hopefully allow spread out the crowd to allow all guests great viewing of this new parade. We have noticed a trend during special ticketed events such as Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Both parties offer their signature parade twice nightly. The first parade is very packed while the second parade has a much more manageable crowd.

Our best suggestion (depending on how late your family can stay in the park) is to enjoy the second parade at 11:00 pm. During the 9:00 pm time slot, enjoy lower wait times on your favorite attractions.

Disney did announce a big change to the parade route. The parade will begin on Main Street USA and travel along the parade route towards Frontierland to allow for better guest flow at the end of the night.

This differs since all other parades offered at Magic Kingdom typically begin in Frontierland near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and work towards Cinderella Castle, and end on Main Street, USA.
