Test Track Will Reopen On This Date

Mark your calendars because Walt Disney World finally announced a reopening date for Test Track. Check out full details of how this attraction has changed and when you can enjoy this at EPCOT.

Test Track Closure

Test Track is receiving a massive update, which also means a long closure for EPCOT guests. Walt Disney Imagineering is collaborating with Chevrolet to embark on this re-imagining. The attraction has been closed for over a year for this change.

The redesign celebrates today’s innovation while highlighting the past, present, and future. It includes both the queue and the ride itself. If you have been to EPCOT lately, you know that construction is still well underway. The new exterior is a throwback to the original pavilion design.

Test Track has been testing ride vehicles during regular park hours for several weeks, and last week, Imagineers tested this attraction. This was an important step forward for Test Track.

Test Track Reopening

Test Track has new ride vehicles, a new marquee, and the construction walls are now removed. The only thing we have been not so patiently waiting for is a reopening date for Test Track.

For several months, Disney simply shared that Test Track will reopen Summer 2025. Today Disney announced that Test Track will reopen to all guests on July 22, 2025.

Since first closing on June 17, 2024, this project took a little over a year. We can’t wait to see the new changes for Test Track very soon.

Disney has not shared exact dates, but promised special previews for Cast Members, Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, Golden Oak Residents, and Club 33 Members before the attraction offically opens to all guests.

At this time Cast Member preview dates are set for June 27th through July 10th. We assume that all other previews will begin after these intial previews.

Summer at Walt Disney World

This summer is a busy one at Walt Disney World! With brand new shows at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and great entertainment with “Cool Kid Summer”, this is the best time to visit Walt Disney World.

Test Track reopens on July 22, 2025.
