Brand New Character Meal Coming to Disney

Move over Mickey, Donald is coming through. Disney has just announced that Donald will be headlining a brand-new character meal! Find out where and when this new option will open.

Storytellers Cafe

Located in Disney’s Grand Californian Resort, Storytellers Cafe offers a character breakfast buffet and a dinner buffet. Celebrate Californian folklore inside the warm and cozy Craftsman-style dining room and enjoy traditional buffet food.

Characters only meet at Storytellers Cafe for breakfast and brunch. Currently, there are no characters present for dinner.

Closure

Storytellers Cafe is currently closed for refurbishment. This closure is only expected to last a couple of weeks.

However, during the closure Guests can still enjoy Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet and Brunch. This dining option will be available in the Trillium Room.

If you are looking for non-character dining options, Guests are encouraged to visit Hearthstone Lounge and other nearby restaurants within Disneyland Resort. Storytellers Cafe will also still offer its Dinner Buffet in the Trillium Room.

Donald’s Tale of Adventure Dinner Buffet

A new buffet will open when Storytellers Cafe reopens. Guests will be able to enjoy Donald’s Tales of Adventure Buffet at Storytellers Cafe. Characters will include Donald, Daisy, and friends in all-new outfits! This will be a BBQ-style buffet with campfire vibes.

Donald’s Tales of Adventure Buffet will open on May 16, 2025. Bookings will begin on March 25, 2025.

The dinner buffet will open on May 16, 2025. Guests can begin booking this new option on March 25, 2025.

Menu

Dinner will take place from 4 PM to 9 PM. Adults (ages 10 and older) will be $62 and children (ages 3 to 9) will be $36. This does not include tax and gratuity.

Menu items will include:

• Baby back spareribs
• Slowroasted prime rib with creamy horseradish
• Fried chicken
• Creamed corn
• A variety of vegetables and salads
• S’mores bread pudding
• Sweets and confectionaries
• An array of beverages
