Trail's End is a quick service offering at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. It used to be one of the best value family-style table service meals on Disney property before it switched over to a quick service option.

Trail's End still offers delicious fried chicken and corn bread!

The good news is it makes it easy for campers and cabin guests to grab delicious grab-and-go items. So even though the all-you-can-eat option is gone, the delicious offerings are still available.

The biggest change Guests will notice is that the two-piece chicken has been replaced! It has now been replaced by the Fried Half Chicken Meal. This is still the delicious fried chicken we love.

Another big change is the Fort Salad was replaced by the Chicken Caesar Salad. Added to the menu is the Meatloaf which is served with masked potatoes, green beans, and cornbread. Other additions include potato salad and macaroni salad.

  1. The food at Trails End is still good. And these changes sound delicious. As this article states, Trails End used to be one of the best value family dining establishments in all of WDW. The breakfast and dinner buffets were truly fantastic; delicious, plentiful and fairly priced. We always made Trails End one of our dining stops with each WDW vacation.

Side note: In Disney's quest to be totally PC, they removed the portrait of Fess Parker as Davy Crockett from Crockett's Tavern, next door in the same facility as Trails End. I asked a Cast Member why and she said because he carried a rifle and that the Frontier Shooting Gallery in MK would be shut down next, which happened. Can you imagine the outrage -- a frontiersman carrying a rifle? What in tarnation, as Davy was likely to say!
