Disney's Resorts Refillable Mugs
Walt Disney World offers Guests the opportunity to purchase Resorts Refillable Mugs. This way Guests can enjoy unlimited refills during their time on vacation.
Each mug is equipped with an RFID chip. This "RapidFill" technology allows the mugs to be activated and used at any RapidFill station at any Disney resort for the length of your stay. You can typically find beverage islands or freestyle drink machines at the quick-serve dining locations and swimming pool areas at Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
Unless you drink only tap water, which is available at no charge at quick service restaurants and table service restaurants, the cost of beverages can really add up! Fountain soft drinks currently cost $4.49 at most quick-service locations. Bottled drinks can be even more costly than that.

Brand New Mug Designs
Recently, Walt Disney World rolled out Disney100 Mug Designs to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. However, as the anniversary comes to a close, those mugs are being phased out, and new mugs are replacing them.
Now, you will find a brand new refillable mug design at the Walt Disney World resort hotels. The design features the resorts as well as several beloved Disney characters and the park icons.
The cups come with several different lid and handle colors. This makes keeping up with which mug belongs to which family member a little easier. These have already completely placed the Disney100 mugs at many of the resort hotels.

Hi, Dawn! You can buy a mug even if you are not staying at a resort. It will be active for you for 14 days.
They can be purchased in any resort quick service area. They can only be filled in the resorts. They are not activated for the parks
Can an older cup from a Disney world resort be used at a Disneyland resort? What is the benefit of having a refillable cup, can it be used anywhere on property?
The cups at Walt Disney World have chips in them that keep them active for 14 days. After that the chips deactivate.
I haven’t heard of reactivating them, but we use our mug at home.
Hey cast member here. What we would do is if your cup is from a past visit you can pay the charge of the cup ($21.99) and they will reactivate your old cup for your stay but you might as well get the new design that way you have a new cup too.

Hey Katie I worked at all star sports for many years what we would do is charge the cup fee and reactivate your old cup for you or you can get the new design which ever you prefer!!
