The nighttime show Fantasmic! is a story where Mickey is transported into a dream. He dances along with music, lighting effects, and pyrotechnics. Various characters and scenes from popular Disney movies are part of the sequence as well.

In April, a fire broke out unexpectedly during a showing of Fantasmic! in Disneyland. The Maleficent dragon caught fire, and flames eventually engulfed it. The show has remained closed since this incident.

Fantasmic! will return to Disneyland on May 24, 2024!

Guests at Disneyland will be able to watch Fantasmic! once again beginning May 24, 2024! Unfortunately, this date is still many months away, but at least we know when we can see this amazing show again!

Disney has shared some BIG news about a change that will take place once Fantasmic! returns. A favorite scene is returning! Guests will once again be able to see the Peter Pan scene.

The Peter Pan scene will replace the Pirates of the Caribbean scene.

The Peter Pan scene had been part of the original show until 2016 when the show closed for refurbishment. Upon its reopening, this scene was replaced by The Pirates of the Caribbean. Disney has now confirmed that when Fantasmic! returns the Peter Pan will replace The Pirates of the Caribbean scene.

Fantastic! won’t include the dragon figure. New special effects and a new battle scene between Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent will take place.

As a reminder, in July Disney stated that the show “won’t include the dragon figure, but it will feature new special effects and a thrilling new battle scene between Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent.”
