Breaking: Brand New Theme Park Designed by Disney Imagineers
Great location, a great theme, and the Disney touch. You don't want to miss this exciting announcement!
Heart of Disney

The heart of Disney parks around the world is truly the amazing cast members who make the magic every day. Each and every job feeds into the greater experience and the magic that is Disney. From the Imagineers to those who scoop our ice cream on Main Street, each cast member's contribution adds just a little more whimsy and fantasy to the overall experience.
Over the past several years, many of the great Disney Imagineers have left the Walt Disney Company. Many of these Disney Imagineers are teaming together to create a BRAND NEW theme park experience.
Brand New Project

The great news is that this brand-new theme park will be positioned centrally in our country in northeast Oklahoma. This is great news for families hoping to avoid long travel to the east or west coast.
The project is an "American Heartland" theme park and will be an "Americana-themed" park. This will "be built in phases starting with a large RV park with cabins to open in spring 2025, followed by a world-class theme park and resort to open in 2026."

The 125-acre Americana-themed park will be comparable in size to Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Park. This park will feature rides, live shows, family attractions, waterways, and restaurant-quality food and beverage offerings.
The American Heartland world-class theme park and resort is forecasted to open in 2026."

I think Walt Disney would relate more with American Heartland than the current Wokefest at Disneyland. I saw the fairy godmother video of a man with a mustache in drag working at the bibbidi Bobbidi boutique….
I thought this said a breaking bad theme park at first glance lol
Issue in VA was local opposition to building near a Civil War battleground.
Based on location it will be a regional park. No one is traveling to OK for their family vacation. Nothing wrong with that,
1st thing I thought of too! Tornado's! Oh My!
I think this is exciting! I hope it works out.
In the 80s they tried this in VA. Then a few years ago in TX. So now they'll try OK. I mean it, Good luck in getting the funding!
That was my first thought too!
i know where they can get a deal on a bunch of giant presidential heads only slightly used if they are interested
Americana themed?sounds awful.
Is this a joke? Probably will build it in Disney Oklahoma of course.
As long as it's NOT a Disney park, good for them. And good luck.
Grow up, baby. Your hurt feelings aren't our problem. Narcissist.
Disney's content is still family oriented, and I still love the parks and films most of the time. I appreciate their more inclusive content and this (park) feels like an attempt to stop progress. Its giving maga-vibes and that makes me super uncomfortable. It's amazing to me how people truly seem to want to excise marginalized people from their lives as to pretend we don't exist. Hopefully those former imagineers come up with original ideas and aren't just attempting to create a racist, bigoted, xenophobic, park where the legislature will support their discriminatory practices. That's the vibe I'm getting.
Am I the only one thinking that Oklahoma is the also the center of this country's tornado ally? We don't need a live action Twister attraction. I hope the planners and designers have thought this through.
Agree!!
Our love for Walt Disney World was cemented by our adoration for Walt Disney himself. The more and more that Disney of today pulls away from Walt's family themed wholesome experience and vision, the less we feel connected to WDW. It breaks my heart. The fond memories of Walt Disney entering our living room every Sunday evening for the Wonderful World of Color are just that now, distant memories. With that as background, we would be interested in visiting a new theme park in Oklahoma, and see if that park can rekindle the spark killed by Bob Chapek and Bob Iger and the extreme Disney LGBTQ advocacy. This advocacy is something I want to keep away from our small nieces. We want them to enjoy the innocence of childhood for as long as they can.
