Magic in Every Mile
There is nothing quite like the magic of the Disney Parks. runDisney offers guests a unique opportunity to see if they can “Go the Distance” while enjoying the true magic of Disney in every mile.
Participants enjoy great character meet and greets both before, during, and after the races. Many of these characters are quite rare which makes these events quite appealing to all Character Locators. Throughout the race courses are great Disney entertainment, access to run through the parks before park opening, and some pretty great medals.
Over at Disneyland, the last runDisney event was held in November 2017. After a long hiatus, Disney announced that runDisney events will return to Disneyland in 2024. You can check out the new themes for this event HERE.
Princess Themes Revealed
The racing themes gives participants a great idea of the theme for both the finisher medals and also what characters may appear at each race. We are so excited for the themes for this year.
Princess Half-Marathon weekend was truly an unbelievable race. Runners can choose to compete in the 5K, 10K, and half-marathon. Also, the Fairytale Challenge allows runners to complete both the 10K and half-marathon during the same weekend.
For the 5K we have Ariel and her adorable sidekick Flounder.
Next up we have the 10K with Rapunzel. Pascal also appears to be along for the ride as he is hanging on to her golden locks.
For the half-marathon, participants are almost there with Princess Tiana. We see our favorite trumpet player Louis belting out some tunes in the background.
Finally for runners completing both the 10K and the half-marathon is the Fairytale Challenge theme. Our favorite sisters are featured for this challenge.
These are great themes and we can’t wait to see the reveal of the medals for each of these races. 2024 Princess Half Marathon Weekend will be February 22-25, 2024. Club runDisney can register on June 13, 2023. General Registration opens on June 20, 2023. Virtual Event Registration will open on June 23, 2023.
